Post by grifty B7 (no 3rd) - What is the barre chord symbol for this one? Either root 5 or 6. Thanks in advance.
Take an A7 - x02020 - and barre it up two frets: x24242. Alternately, depending mainly on the context in the song and what chord you're coming out of, take an E7 - 020100 - and barre it up 7 frets: 797877.

But that has a 3rd in it... Doesn't he want sans third??
I think The Chris gave you what you were looking for though you might have missed it because it was at the bottom of his post: x242xx which is a B7 without the 3rd.
Post by grifty He's right, I need it w/o the third. Those are the correct symbols for normal barred B7 rt. 5 and 6.
