The best silent guitar is the one sitting at the guitar stand... it's pretty
silent cause no one is playing them....

Best 'Silent' guitar?

I've heard Air-Guitars are pretty damned quiet. They were featured in the
movie "Wayne's World".

I was referring to practice guitars with headphones that allow you to play
quietly when others don't want to be bothered or are asleep. Yamaha sells
one as do others. It's funny how you can ask for recommendations and all
you get are smart remarks!

Oh c'mon. They were funny. A solid body electric guitar without an amp
should be silent enough. I use some of the Yamaha Silent Series products
and you can still hear them.

While the Yamaha Silent violin is well worth it, only if you are
acoustic guitar player, I wouldn't want to buy a Yamaha Silent guitar.

I couldn't resist... (like you wouldn't have done that to me if I'd
posted the same thing!)

It shouldn't matter which one...THEY ALL SOUND THE SAME.
Joking aside, the Yamahas are good.

Hey,

I have a Yamaha Silent Guitar, the SL100N, There great, and I always get
nice comments from people who have never seen anything like it. They have
built in reverb, head phone socket, a power supply, a battery, a cool bag,
they fold down and you can send a CD through the guitar into the head phones
and play along without anyone hearing you. They sound great amped too. And
no, I am not part of the Yamaha sales team. ha ha.
